hey guys. i have the chance to update, so here i am. it's monday night, 9:30 florida (eastern) time, and i am supa-
crispeh. my shoulders, chest, and upper back are
baked. it's all good though, because i'm having a blast. i still miss you guys, jess most of all, but i'm glad i'm here.
i helped my brother open up his own online store for his skate group's merch yesterday. nothing in it yet, because his art and photos are at home. i'll update on that front later when there's something to update. ;)
james, i'm sorry you had to close with danny. here are some words you can use to communicate with him (and please note, i don't know their gender, but you get the idea):
carne pecena - reg meat
carne grande - quarter meat
pollo frito peceno - mcchicken
pollo frito grande - crispy chicken
pollo peceno - nuggets
these aren't fool-proof, and i might be wrong on pronunciation or whatnot, but i used them successfully when i worked a long shift alone with him, so give them a shot. grilled chicken i have no idea how to say.
oh yeah. the n in peceno/pecena is supposed to have a ~ over it, but it looks funny in the final post when i put it in. so.. you get the picture. it's pronounced "peh-KAY-nyo," not "peh-KAY-no."
the only downside to being here is the lack of ddr. i was unable to bring my pad with me because we're on the fifth floor, and i would get in trouble for making so much noise. gah. there used to be an arcade in the sarasota square mall, but the mall itself has changed names and gotten rid of the arcade. i am filled with anger.
i did get a chance to see "i, robot" today. good movie (despite that it's will smith, whose acting ability i do not envy, no more than his tendency to turn action movies into action comedies), even better than i actually expected. it sickens me, however, that isaac asimov's book, on whose
idea the movie is based (the credits said something like "suggested by.."), is now being re-sold in bookstores with our dear mr. smith on the cover. gah. anyway, i think the robots acted better than will did. ;) but anyhoo, i don't regret spending my mom's money to see it.
