opportunity rears as the sun departs
i commence the day with broken hearts

most recent setback
reveals what i lack
pressing onward with newfound eyes
disclose the appearing supposed lies

disappoint the heart the mindset ponders
meant for joy the mind/heart wanders
blind smiles revel in the blind heart's love
consider what they were thinking of

of love of life
of pain of strife

happiness a condition of mental anguish
let the blind one sit and languish
opportunity sets with the rising sun
happy thoughts depart as the day's begun

consider what might have been
consider all the tearing in
wishing doesn't make it so
if it would just go

decision maker make it for
decision made but wanting more
incapable of contentedness
choices unfit regress

choices given choice returned
for lack of one earned
all things made the end of day
look ahead for made way

unable to be content
choice made was not what was meant
argue further for want of more
fighting solves nothing there's the door

conflict not meant by any means
reality pales before dreams
wide eyed days deceive the fools
finding truth collapses selfmade rules
