where's the bactine?
1:40 PM :
i saw a deer on the side of the freeway this morning. it looked like it was just sitting there.

at last! konami finally made an english version of their official castevania page. not much there at the moment, but i hope they have music for download soon. the english forum works, too. boy, those people are idiots. the forum-dwellers i mean, not konami.

i reworked the links bar again. i removed the aos, cotm, and hod links because those are all actually part of the castlevania dungeon, to which i already have a link. i also realized that i had not actually included a link to konami itself, so i added that as well as to the official castlevania page.

i'm not sure i like the new kiddy anime style of dawn of sorrow. other than that, the game intrigues me (that, and the seal system, which of course is just to make use of the stylus) and makes me want a new game. it is the only reason i would get a ds. of course, konami makes me go on living. between castlevania and ddr (well, okay, that's made by a division of konami, but it's basically the same thing), that's pretty much all i play.

a couple exceptions to that rule, though. since jess is not a huge gamer, we've been playing monopoly lately - on the ps1. she found a bunch of old games (including spyro, which was actually quite fun, if not a little disappointing in its length, or lack thereof) she's forgotten that she'd taken from her mom's house when she moved out.

speaking of old games. i'm pretty much as leveled as i can get in symphony of the night. i'm at level seventy now, and i need over forty thousand xp to level again. the problem lies with the enemies. each enemy has its own level - like, say, a skeleton, which is at a level 2. when the player is at or below the level of any given enemy, when the enemy is defeated the player receives the xp indicated on the character info pages. however, when the player is at a higher level than the enemy, the player receives less xp than indicated. once you get so high, you get one xp for each enemy. you see my dilemma. so i'm pretty much done with symphony forever, until my memory card dies again and i have to start all over.
